The Alumni Association, Faculty of Engineering, Avinashilingam University was formally inaugurated by Dr. Maragatham Natraj on November 4, 2004. The long cherished dream of the students to come back to their Alma Mater came true. In this era of networking and collaboration, it is the alumni that adds value and support to the institution. The first meeting had more than 100 participants from various disciplines. The second Alumni meet was held in December 2004 and Mrs. B. Padmapriya was elected the President.
It was unanimously agreed to hold annual Alumni meet every 2nd Sunday in January.

The Alumni are highly appreciative of the values and principles inculcated by the Faculty. Many of them are highly placed and several of them hold post doctorate degrees from abroad.
