Civil Engineering is an art of directing the great sources of power in Nature for the use and convenience of the man. The primary needs of mankind like houses, dams and bridges etc., are provided by civil Engineers. The history of development of housing facilities reveals that man has been moulding his environment throughout the ages, for more comfortable living. The efficient planning, designing, construction and maintenance of water supply, irrigation system, transportation engineering are fruits of Civil Engineer’s work.
