ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The Department of ECE was established in
the academic year 2000. It has well qualified, dedicated and
experienced teaching and non teaching staff. The department
has well equipped labs.

All the modern methods of communication for
e.g., telephones, mobile phones, satellites, internet etc.,
have become essential for our daily life. They have been
implemented only using electronics.
Our curriculum on Electronics and Communication Engineering
has been planned to produce engineers who have excellent
knowledge in the existing communication methods and who can
design future communication systems.
ELECTRONICS
LAB
All the design and testing of basic electronic circuits are
done here. The major equipments are
- CROs
- Function Generators
- IC testers
- Decade R, L, C boxes.
IC AND
COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING LAB
All the experiments using IC's are performed here. The major
equipments are
- Programmable signal generator
- CROs
-
Function Generators
- Microwave equipments
- Microprocessor and Micro controller kits
- Fiber Optic Communication kits.

DSP LAB
MATLAB software is used to implement various signal processing
techniques. DSP hardware is also available to work DSP
algorithms in real time. The Lab consists of 20 terminals with
Pentium IV processor, which are networked and sufficient number of dot matrix and
inkjet printers, scanner and laser printers.
VLSI LAB
The students are trained at VLSI hardware and implementation
of VHDL programs in CPLD and FPGA chips. The Lab consists of
22 terminals with Pentium IV processor, server and sufficient
number of dot matrix and inkjet printers, scanners and laser
printers.
MICROPROCESSOR LAB
The students are also trained in microprocessor laboratory.
INDUSTRIAL
EXPOSURE
All the students take up industrial training during II and III
year holidays. They are also taken for industrial visits to
further enhance their industrial knowledge. Thus the
department helps the students to have a good industrial
exposure.
ASSOCIATION
The ECE association invites eminent speakers from both
industries and institutions to address and train the students
to further enhance the exposure given to students.
