ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Printing Technology with its unique features and demand in the Industry had its commencement in 1996  in  Avinashilingam  Deemed University. Our University stands one among the seven other Universities offering this course.

Its features are Pre-press, press and post press. The curriculum also covers Multimedia, Advertising Technique, Digital printing and C & C++ with lab session.

Every week Association Activities are conducted where eminent industry personnel are invited to expose the students to the latest developments in the field.

The students here are equipped with practical tests on,

  *         Offset Printing                    :   Imported mini-offset & Demy offset machines
  *         Screen Printing                  :   exclusively for on demand printing
  *          Letterpress                        :   with platen machine, Flat bed cylinder machine
  *          Quality control                   :   various testing devices for paper, ink & fount
  *          Film assembly lab             :    with Quantalux from PROTEC
  *          Graphic reproduction lab  :    Vertical camera-Lithotex T-567
  *          Desk Top Publishing lab    :   furnished with IBM,MAC systems with
                                                           multimedia  softwares, (Flash, Director, Dream
                                                           weaver, Premium) dual scanner,with laser and
                                                           inkjet printers.

In addition, the software programming languages such as C, C++, and UNIX are covered.
